How to Wear // A Pop of Pastel

I couldn't be happier that pastels are big news in the fashion world right now.
Bubblegum pinks and minty hues of green teamed with white are my favourite shades for this spring/summer!
Even though the weather warmed up a couple days last week it seems it sadly didn't last, and I am not ready pack away all of my winter clothes just yet.
I purchased this pastel jumper from Dorothy Perkins a while back to incorporate a bit of colour into my dull winter wardrobe until spring has sprung and the sunshine is here to stay.

On a recent lazy Sunday (below) I styled it with my fave Topshop jeans, those boots and a block colour bowler bag. Oh, and pastel nails of course! (just don't look too closely to that mani).
Since the weather has warmed up ever so slightly, I shall be teaming this jumper with a skater skirt and loafers.

Let me know if you would like to see a style guide and I would be more than happy to give my ideas on other ways to wear this season's pastel trend.

OMG Fashion's SS14 Press Event

Last Thursday I was lucky enough to have been invited to OMG Fashion's SS14 press event, hosted at The Milton Club in Manchester. The event was for the launch of their spring/summer clothing collection and it was lovely to get the chance to look through the collection, as well as having the opportunity to meet other fashion bloggers. We mingled, chatting over the DJ's music, drank champagne and took snaps of the collection. You can find the collection online here.

The collection is a mix of pretty pastels, prints and on trend brights!

I attended the event with the lovely Sam, who blogs over at SamanthaBlakemore.net. Go check out her blog, I'm sure you'll love it!!

Vicky from Geordie Shore made an appearance at the event! *Gosh look at how pale I am!

I also got to meet some lovely bloggers at the event, including Hannah who blogs at Trustinvogue.com, Amy from amyjanealice.com and Fiona from northwesternbeauty.com
Thanks for putting on a great event and for having us OMG Fashion!

White Day

There's no doubt that it is the women who get spoiled on Valentine's Day here in the UK. Copious amounts of champagne, roses and chocolates are bought for us lucky ladies on February 14th, but what about the men?
Did you know that in Japan, White Day is widely celebrated one month after Valentine's, on March 14th, when those gifts from Valentine's Day are repaid back. I was contacted and asked whether I would like to celebrate White Day on behalf of New Look. I can relate to this idea of having a day solely for us ladies to repay our boyfriends/husbands/friends to show them how much we appreciate them and to make them feel special, after all Valentine's Day is mainly marketed towards gifts for us women. And so, of course, I jumped at the chance.

Since my boyfriend was super happy about having a bow-tie to sport for our night at the ballet, I decided I would get him another bow-tie and shirt to wear on our future dates!
Look at how happy he was...
I am really pleased with the items and I'm sure my man will love them too!! Here are the items I picked:

Shirt & bow-tie from New Look*

Will you be giving the special man in your life a gift to celebrate White Day?

North West Bloggers Event // Liverpool

A week or so ago I headed over to Liverpool to attend the North West Bloggers Event, which was hosted by the lovely Hannah Rosalie at Liverpool's very own Hard Days Nights Hotel
This was my very first blogger event, and I was feeling a mixture of both excitement and nerves.  It turns out there was no need for me to be nervous as I met some lovely bloggers including Sammy, Madeline, Hannah & Kamila

The event was a great opportunity to meet with other bloggers and speak with different brands, learning about both old and new products, and generally just networking.

Here are a few snaps of the event.

The ladies from St.Moriz, who say they have a challenge for fake tan virgins such as myself so watch this space!

Lush had a whole host of their amazing products on display. I also learned about their spa they have in Liverpool which I knew nothing about, but definitely want to try!

Lush offer some fantastic products and gift sets incase you're in need of some Mothers day gift inspiration ladies?

There were also make-up artists, hair styling and an enormous raffle on offer!

I was pleasently suprised when I won this amazing prize in the raffle.

I really loved the hand-made jewellery teardrop designs had on display. I couldn't resist and ended up  purchasing a charm bracelet, I even got to pick the charms I wanted to go on and waited while it was made up for me. You can find their collection on sale here

The brands were really generous and we all went home with goodie bags brimmed full of amazing products to try.

Needless to say I left beaming from ear to ear, I couldn't wait to get home and try the products.
Hannah did a brilliant job of organising this event, I hope I get the chance to go to the next one!

Bastille // What I Wore

My friend and I went to see Bastille gig at Manchester's 02 apollo on Saturday night.
We had an awesome time rocking out as the band wowed us with their amazing performance! We particularly enjoyed Dan's dancing skills - mainly involving him flailing his arms around in some sort of weird, yet kinda cool, fashion.
Anyway, here's what I wore:

What I Wore:
Fine Knit Hooded Jumper // H&M
High waist Jeans // Topshop
Chain Necklace // New Look
Watch // Casio
Clutch // New Look

I enjoyed wearing this outfit, it's slightly different to what I would usually go for on a night out. I figured if there's a time when I can go less girly and a bit more grungy, then a Bastille gig is definitely it! What do you guys think of this look?

If you want to see some pics of the gig, head over to my Instagram page.
