The Fault in Our Stars Review & What I Wore

We went to see The Fault in our Stars on Friday night, and having read the book I can safely say that the film does it justice.
Making our way to our seats, through the throng of teenage girls, I was slightly nervous that the film I was about to witness another (crappy) teen love story. But I was SO wrong.
The film is touching, and the performances are really heartfelt; I don't think there was a dry eye in the cinema by the time the credits rolled. The film is shot beautifully too, and I loved the soundtrack so much! The acting is also excellent, although I did have high hopes that this would be the case, having seen Shailene's performance in The Descendents which was brilliant.  This film most definitely stands apart from other teenage book/ film adaptations which I have seen - not as good as The Notebook, but nearly!
My fave track from the soundtrack: M38 - Wait

I also thought I would include a few snaps of what I wore to make this post more visual. So, since we were only going to the cinema I went for a really laid back, casual look. I wore my trusty Topshop 'mom' jeans, teamed with a little crop top, my New Look cut-out shoes and my current fave item; my lemon print clutch bag that I picked up from River Island a while back.

Anyone seen the film yet? Let me know your thoughts in the comment section below.

I haven't read the book yet (but want to still even though it's backwards of how I like..) but I just saw the movie today and oh my gosh it was incredible. I loved it so much. I loved all of the life lessons in it.

I cried so hard. The movie was so great. I was really worried going into it but they did such a fabulous job sticking to the book. I'm really really excited to see Paper Towns and Looking for Alaska come to life too!

Thanks for sharing your link! I'll be following you on bloglovin (:
